Stop chasing parenthood for a resolution!
Everywhere I turn, they’re seeking motherhood or marriage
Am I the only one who’s self-encouraged
From infants to toddlers, then prime to young years
Hit that adult stage and shift our image
Not against a baby or a carriage
Not feeling the pressure of chasing marriage
Just hit freedom; we need time to blossom
But if the vibe connected and brought your preselected
Destiny has written; nothing is-forbidden
Though the reasons I’m hearing are quite unpleasing
Some desire kids young to bridge the gap
Guess I’m cut differently – wisdom comes more seasoned
Others seek marriage ‘cus they feel discouraged
They want a man to be their lifespan;
And a baby to fill their void
Some do it for self-image
Many are unplanned,
O! That percentage
No ring, house, plan, or money
Chasing what it could be
What you need is a toy, not a baby
These years are for growth, healing, and self-building
All things you need before extending your lineage
So you bring a child and pour your baggage
Raising kids with extensive damage
You have your whole life to be a parent
Only a short time to chase your advantage
A child is not a solution;
