Indurated
Indurated

Indurated

Strength in my hands turns callous
Protection, in anger, loses balance
Control is my problem
Structure creates columns
Losing grip challenges regulation;
Knowing me, not caring comes easy
Afraid to spin the block on the old me
A brick, numb – babygirl fooled me

In the world, I was a standard,
Without conviction,
Vices stood pampered
Assembled in a perfect image,
Submitted to some jurisdiction
Gates were open,
Missed restriction
Humanism fed me,
Abdicated benediction
