In this last course of tribulation, the enemy wanted an Ishmael
I became impatient – he tempted me with a quick meal
I was depleting but not depleted
Moments of dismay but still [by Him] I defeated
The serpent wanted me to birth my Ishmael,
The course of trials pushed out the darkness
His light was bearing my battles in stillness
The enemy tried to exploit my weakness
Undoubtedly, deeply uncomfortable
God had to evict this rotten fruit – it was ungovernable
Trust His hands – everything is recoverable
Allow uncomfortable settings to water you
Let challenges always prosper you
Mistakes never define – they posture you
Losing patience is normal, but don’t permit it to control you
Give it to God; He will refine you
Yo, the enemy tried to birth Ishmael,
Refrain from decisions when emotional,
Apply lessons of Sarah for promotional
We’re only as weak as our delegation of power
Remember who’s on your side when you face your tower
We have dominion over our thoughts, refute the devour
He has to convince you to obtain any power
That fool really-believed he was birthing Ishmael,
I pondered on options; I got tired of fighting,
Thoughts of throwing the towel were relentless in writing––
All lacked excitement; I had to keep hiking
Prosecutors introduced different routes; never signed the agreements
They got tired of my rebuttals; I crossed over to achievement
Deceiver fought to plant his Ishmael,
Logic justified my reasons this season,
Scripture says lean not on understanding His ways are exceeding
That fool tried to convince me I did wrong by polluting my fountain
I kept going cause valleys lead to the top mountain
O my foe dreamt of forfeiting my destiny,
