Stainless Convict

Numerous innocent folks have paid prices
Unmistakably, all wired in vices
What happens when actions counter choices
Outside tells a story of contempt
If curtain-ripped hearts are deemed exempt
Intention got lost in translation
Legalities ruled based on misconstrued citation
Vindication demands higher intelligence,
Divine representation;
Guilt doesn’t always mean guilty
One wrong choice,
Associated with the wrong committee
Caught the whole book,
Sentence longer than Mississippi

Innocent to crime
Guilty of time
No one to pardon
Burden of proof declined

Objectively unlawful,
Legally lawful
Morally wrong,
Legally, it’s formal
