Hood Inventory

Hood story, Ghetto stories, Hood story, and family

Loyalty, who knew you could be so cruel
Many have died behind you
Some grew up lonely
Lacked, created fantasy
I grew up with family
Though streets had a hold on me
Parents did their best to ground me
Poverty brought us together
Broken pieces built a treasure
Needed trust to keep the secrets
Championed loyalty to keep our footrest
Outsiders call it crime,
We called it business
Music glorified hoodness, sickness
Enticed multiple submissions;
Broken Souls began fishing
Authoritative structures often were missing
Pain and incognizance constantly stood kissing
Loyalty initiated cruelty
Fear gripped the hood,
Vengeance possessed stolen jewelry
Lacked, started robbin’
Full of mobs started throbbin’
Selling dope, cops started knockin’
An alliance that originated as a movement
Evolved into a senseless beating
Aim was to resist brutality and cease bereavement
Labeled the self-controlled as green
Impulsivity, our dopamine
Reside in the free world,

Though it feels like prison,
Prison is a second home
Daily repetition,
Cell numbers we own,
Stepping carried beef by division
Color coordination-wrapped murderers
Streets never make peace
Birth villains who before thirty are deceased
Extracting crease,
Fathers are keen on a community release
Disagreements formed generational violence
Conflict resolution, like wisdom, stands behind us!
