Wrong Crowd

Being thoroughly understood is inconceivable;
Human makeup urges, though not feasible
Lately, I have been distancing myself from conversations
I hear words, thoughts, and emotions
Let me clarify, paradoxical; I’m no God, not omniscient, or always methodical,
A gift, exquisite, not always suitable
Step away from conversations that feel juvenile
Empty cups result in a lack of satisfaction
They never seize the picture, merely caption
Do I clarify or edify; persist in redaction
Apathetic to testifying; wrong crowd
Discern audience, keep internal sound
The more in tune, I am with oneself
I recognize how timeless my biography is on a bookshelf
Vibe with many but don’t connect with plenty
In a seven-billion world, majority are empty
Relationships building walls making heartbreaks trendy
They will read this and suppose Iā€™m pretentious;
Far from the truth, besides God, only I know my value and intentions
Erroneous presumptions never deduct color from my credentials!
